About Me

My name is Dakota Wilson and I am a second-year public history graduate student at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I received my bachelor’s degree in history in my hometown of Mobile, Alabama, at the University of South Alabama.

During my educational career, I have worked alongside four museums as an intern or volunteer, the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, the History Museum of Mobile, the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum, and the Frazier Kentucky History Museum.

In my free time, I love checking out local breweries, hiking some of the beautiful trails in the mountains, and photographing some of the amazing things in life.
